What's Inside Bluey's Library, the New Free Bluey Storytime Game
Reading a book is fun, but becoming part of your favorite story? Even better!
Bluey's Library is a free browser game on the official Bluey website. Kids click through three interactive retellings of fan-favorite episodes — "Army," "Stories," and "The Adventure" — making choices, uncovering hidden animations, and unlocking printable extras along the way. If you've got Bluey fans in your class or at home, here's what it actually does, and what's worth knowing before you hand over the tablet.

How To Play
Each story is a scrollable, click-through scene rather than a straight video or e-book. Kids tap characters and objects to trigger animations, find hidden longdogs tucked into the artwork, and hit decision points where they choose what happens next. Those choices actually branch — pick differently and you'll see different art, different scenes, sometimes a different ending. That replay value is the main draw: kids won't get the same playthrough twice, which makes it a decent choice for early finishers or indoor recess rather than a one-and-done activity.
One practical note: on mobile, the game only works in landscape mode, so kids will need to rotate their device before starting.
The Printable Side
Once kids finish (or partway through) a story, there are three linked activities:
- Design a coloring page – pick a background, add character art, print it out.
- Unlock badge bookmarks – images earned through the stories get added to a printable bookmark.
- Customize a library bag – an in-game bag kids decorate, which then holds their bookmarks.
None of this requires an account or payment — it's all free and browser-based.

Bottom Line for the Classroom or Living Room
It's a genuine 10–15-minute activity per story, longer if kids go back to try different choices or work through all three printables. Good for:
- Indoor recess or early-finisher time
- A quiet independent activity that still involves reading and decision-making
- A take-home extension — the printables give kids something to bring back

Inspired by Season 1, Episode 7 "BBQ": It’s lunchtime on Bluey’s back deck! But every BBQ needs a side salad, so Bingo’s relaxing sit-down will have to wait until she finds every color of capsicum/pepper her cousins ask for!
The cousins are over and Uncle Stripe and Dad are in charge. But the kids want to play Horsey Ride! Write the lovely story on the lines provided. In the episode, Mum and Aunt Trixie go out, leaving Bingo, Bluey and the cousins with Dad and Uncle Stripe, whose plans to watch the cricket are cancelled for a game of Horsey Ride instead. But when Bluey forgets to put away her favorite toy, Polly Puppy, and Socks get hold of her, they need a plan to get her back in one piece. In an attempt to distract Socks from Polly, the kids set up a Horsey wedding between Dad (Gallahop) and Uncle Stripe (Sparkles).
