Episode Inspiration: Keepy Uppy
Bluey, Bingo and Mum are enjoying playing Keepy Uppy around the house with their last balloon, but when Dad joins in, he takes the game to a whole new level of difficulty.
-
Online Fun: Help Bingo and Bluey keep the balloon off the ground in this charming online game. Tap, tap, tap to keep the balloon floating as long as possible. Play on an interactive whiteboard so everyone can cheer each other on!
-
Real-Life Fun: Blow up a balloon and challenge your kiddos to the same game in real life. The rule is simple — don’t let the balloon touch the floor! Use hands, heads, elbows, or even knees to keep it up.
Play Pretend: Library
Episode Inspiration: Library
When Muffin is told that she is special by her Dad, she interprets it as an excuse to do anything she wants, which means playing Bluey and Bingo’s game of Library her way.
Recreate Bluey and Bingo’s Library game in your classroom. Gather books or use your classroom library and set up a desk area for the librarian. The librarian can make library cards, check out books, and help customers. Let kiddos take turns being the librarian and the customers, and watch their imaginations run wild!
Play Pretend: Rug Island Adventure
Episode Inspiration: Rug Island
Dad washes up on Bluey and Bingo’s deserted island and while Bingo takes pity on him and tries to help him survive, Bluey doesn’t think a grown-up can adapt. Will Dad prove his worth?
Transform your classroom into Rug Island! Toss a blanket, rug, or towel over some cushions to create an island hideaway. Add books, stuffed animals, or even classroom supplies as treasures. Just like Bluey and Bingo, kiddos can use their imaginations to turn everyday items into island discoveries. Bonus points for creating clickable pen “fish”!
Online Game: Magic Xylophone
Episode Inspiration: Magic Xylophone
Bluey and Bingo squabble over their magic xylophone (that has the power to freeze Dad in space and time). Dad seizes control and freezes Bluey, leaving Bingo as her only hope.
Make some music and play dress-up with this interactive online game. Kiddos take turns tapping Bluey, Bingo, or Dad. They can then pick accessories, costumes, or objects to add to the characters. When the xylophone dings, the character dances away. Try playing this game on an interactive whiteboard to delight all of your kids!
Play Pretend: Onesies Dance
Bluey.tv
Episode Inspiration: Onesies
When Mum’s sister Brandy comes over for a visit, she brings the kids onesies as a present, which has an unexpected effect on Bingo.
Let’s groove! Pair students up and teach them the dance from Mum and Aunty Brandy’s Onesies party. Use the Onesies song from the show and practice the moves together. Don’t forget to add lots of giggles — this one’s all about having fun!
Real Life: Barky Boats
Episode Inspiration: Barky Boats
Bluey and Mackenzie are excited to spend time with their two buddies Mia and Captain. When the older kids run off to play together without them, Calypso explains that growing up can be hard.
Begin with a scavenger hunt where kids collect natural materials like bark, sticks, and leaves or use craft supplies like paper and twine, imagining they’re gathering treasures on a deserted island. Guide them to create their own barky boats, adding fun elements like sails with adventure symbols or mini “treasure chests” made from small wrapped items. Transform a water tray or kiddie pool into the Adventure River, complete with floating obstacles, and let the kids race their boats using gentle blows or spray bottles to navigate. After the race, gather to share stories of their boat’s journey — rescuing others, finding treasure islands, or braving storms — and finish by drawing their boats in action or creating treasure maps of their adventures!
Tag Game: What’s the Time, Mrs. Wolf?
Episode Inspiration: Shadowlands
Coco plays Shadowlands with Bluey and Snickers but she keeps trying to make the game easier until Bluey helps her understand that sometimes it’s more fun if you follow the rules.
What’s the Time, Mrs. Wolf? is a popular tag game in Australia. Choose a player to be Mrs. Wolf. They’ll stand at one end of the play area with their back to the others. The players call out, “What’s the time, Mrs. Wolf?” and Mrs. Wolf replies with a time, like “Three o’clock,” signaling the number of steps players must take. When Mrs. Wolf shouts “Dinner time!” — watch out! It’s a chase to the finish.
