Five Bluey book covers

"Checklist: have a cry, pick myself up, dust myself off, and keep going." It’s these kinds of relatable lessons, paired with gentle humor plus imaginative play, that draw kids to Bluey. We’ve rounded up our favorite Bluey books to bring the magic of Bluey into your classroom. These books emphasize the kindness, imagination, and teamwork that make the show so special. Whether you read these aloud or your little squirts flip through the pages themselves, these titles are sure to captivate them!

1. Bluey 5-Minute Stories

This Bluey collection shares stories straight out of five of kids’ favorite episodes — Hammerbarn, Charades, The Pool, Typewriter, and Baby Race. These quick reads are perfect for those transition times — before lunch, after recess, or when the bus is running late. Each story can help start conversations about feelings. In Baby Race, Mum reminiscing about a race to see which baby would learn to walk first helps listeners learn that everyone grows and learns at their own pace.

2. Bluey: A Big Pop-Up Book

Kids love pop-up books, and this one gives them a chance to play in the creek, swim in the pool, and more! Sit in front of your bumblenuts and amaze them as the pieces magically pop up and out of the book. Get ready for the oohs and aahs that will follow!

Hint: Teach the kids the “one finger rule.” Use just one finger to gently turn the pages of a pop-up book and explore its parts. This keeps the book safe and makes the pop-ups last longer! (Available Sept. 25, 2025)

3. Bluey: Bob Bilby

It’s Bingo’s turn to bring Bob Bilby, her kindy’s puppet, home for the weekend. The whole Heeler family enjoys looking through the adventures of Bluey’s classmates. The kids learn a valuable lesson about the importance of putting away screens and spending time together.

💡Use this book to kick off a similar project for your class. Kiddos can take turns bringing home a stuffed Bluey or other animal as a "special guest" for a day, documenting its adventures through drawings or simple sentences. This activity is a great way to encourage creativity, storytelling, and sharing.

4. Bluey: Camping

Whether you are starting a thematic camping unit or just looking for a new title to add to your classroom library, Bluey: Camping is one you will want to share with your dodgy brothers. Kids will enjoy the Heeler family’s adventures, but the heart of the story is the friendship that Bingo forms with another camper who speaks a different language.

5. Mini Bluey (Bilingual English-Spanish Edition)

An adorable episode is brought to life in Mini Bluey. This book focuses on how important it is to be yourself and how special it can be to have a sibling. If you’re looking to incorporate additional bilingual titles, you’ll find a red balloon on the cover that tells you the book is in both English and Spanish.

6. Where’s Bluey?

An engaging look-and-find book featuring Bluey and her family? Count us in! Kiddos enjoy the challenge of searching familiar places to find their favorite characters. Consider using this book at the end of the day to capture their attention. Spend a little extra time discussing each of the scenes included. The challenges get more difficult as the book progresses!

7. Bluey and Bingo’s Book of Bugs

Perfect for introducing a unit on insects, this book features exciting push-and-pull tabs so kids can search for little critters. Let your kids take turns pushing and pulling the tabs, or place this one in your classroom library. This interactive story is sure to have them buzzing with excitement!

8. Bluey: Bad Mood

Bingo’s bad mood is causing chaos at home, so Mom and Bluey do their best to cheer her up. This sweet book will help your kids cope with their own big feelings. Keep this title on hand to encourage a kiddo who is having a tough day.

9. Bluey: More 5-Minute Stories

Looking for more quick reads? If you’ve read through the first edition, you’ll want to grab this second set of short stories. This storybook includes favorite episodes like Yoga Ball, Unicorse, The Claw, Swim School, and The Doctor.

10. Let’s Do This: Bluey’s Official Poster Book

This book is packed with 24 colorful posters ideal for classroom use. We think they each make for a fun circle time discussion. How has Bluey shown kindness? How did Bluey and Bingo work together? Your kids will enjoy observing the details and chatting about what they think is happening in the scene.
