Did you know that Bluey's an expert keepy uppy-er? Add some color to the playroom. Hooray! The block tower saved the balloon.
Inspired by Season 1, Episode 3 "Keepy Uppy": Bluey, Bingo, and Mum are enjoying playing Keepy Uppy around the house with their last balloon, but when Dad joins in, he takes the game to a whole new level of difficulty.
This fun lesson uses the Bluey episode "Movies" as the kickoff to a classroom conversation about the importance of being yourself. And sometimes that means facing your fears (like thunderstorms or dark movie theaters!). The lesson includes printables for three activities in which kids make courage capes, draw self-portraits, and decorate puzzle pieces that show things that make them unique.
Movies Episode Summary: It is Bluey’s first trip to the cinema, but she’s worried that the movie will be too scary. When Bingo starts running amok in the theatre, she must conquer her fear and help Dad out.
Who likes to daaaaaance? Take this dance cube when you’re out and about and need to... grooove on the mooove! Here's how to put it together:
- Stick this page to cardboard. Then, ask your grown-up to snip along the dashed lines.
- Fold along the dotty lines and stick the tabs shut.
- Roll the die and copy whichever dance move it lands on! Will it be the robot or island rhythms? The worm or fairy dance?
We KNOW that you are an awesome dancer! Doodle a step-by-step guide to one of your amazing dance routines.
Fold, snip, and unfold to create paperchains with loads of Floppys. So cute! Here's how:
- Color the Floppys. Ask a grown-up to help you cut out the strips along the black dashed lines.
- Fold back and fold along the white dotted lines (don't snip!). Then cut along the orange dashed lines. Now unfold your Floppy paper chains!
Top Tip: Glue the pages to pink paper before you snip out, so that it looks nice on the back too! Add cotton wool bunny tails to the back of your Floppys.
Cheese and jam! Design a brand-new thing for the family to zip around in. Here's how to play: Grab a die and start at the "vehicle type" section. Check the list to see what to draw for the number you roll. Keep rolling and doodling until your new vehicle is finished!
Top Tip: Play this again and again and again on a new sheet of paper!
Create a brand-new toy for Unicorse to marry. He may be a grub, but he just wants to find luuurve! Here's how:
- Choose a unicorn horn and hairdo. Snip or tear them out.
- Cut out the strips to add some hair — maybe some crazy curls!
- Paste all the bits around the face to create your newnicorse!
Hup, hup, hup. Make the head and wristbands, then pop them on and give these moves a go: mountain hike, thwack, yoga (try the downward dog), juuump!, ballet twirls, power walking, balance, ruuun!, crawl, and chicken dance!
Top Tip: Take this page outside and drop a stone or leaf onto it. Whichever move it lands on... give it a go!
Nom-nom-nom! Can you find the foody three-in-a-rows in the grid below? We've got sausages, watermelon slices, prawns, avocadoes, lettuces, mushrooms, cupcakes, strawberries, and more! Look across and down for these three-in-a-rows (psst, we’ve done the bananas for you).
It’s a giant dream house ON WHEELS! Aaaaand... what else? You decide! What’s in each room of the dream house? These were Bluey and Bingo’s ideas: 11 burger shops, 20 bedrooms, 40 toilets, and a spa on the balcony.
Inspired by Season 2 Episode 21 "Escape": The kids are going to Nana’s so Mum and Dad can get alone time. They plan a blissful day, but Bluey and Bingo think of imaginative ways to ruin it — Mum and Dad will have to escape!
Help Doctor Bluey through the maze to her patient, collecting her doctor thingymajigs along the way!
Top Tip: Recycle some old boxes and decorate them to make a doctor surgery for your teddies. Use the bits and bobs from your doctor set too!
Inspired by Season 1 Episode 18 "The Doctor": Honey is stuck in the waiting room with receptionist Bluey as Dr. Bingo prioritises patients with more exciting injuries, until Honey demonstrates how her tail can wag her body.
Bored? No worries! Simply put up this poster, close your eyes and wiggle your fingers round and round. Whatever activities you land on is what you do today! Here are some faves:
- Make pizzas... out of mud! (But don't eat them!)
- Pretend to be a zookeeper (your teddies are exotic animals) and give your grown-up a tour!
- Collect some rugs, blankets, and cushions to make your own Rug Island!
- Use old sheets to make a fort. Don't forget a password! (Is it "diplodocus"?)
- Backyard bingo! Make a list and play with a mate. What can you both spot?
Grab your crayons or markers and add some color to Bluey's school. What are the kids playing? Bluey's school, Glass House Primary, is a Steiner (or Waldorf) school, known for its focus on play-based learning and a connection with nature. Bluey's teacher, Calypso, encourages children to explore their own imaginative scenarios rather than directing them to specific tasks.
