This Is the Strangest Weapon the U.S. Military Doesn't Want You to Know About

Military (noun): The armed forces of a country.
Secret (noun): Something that is kept hidden.
Plasma (noun): A very hot, glowing state of matter.
Technology (noun): The use of science to create new things.
The military keeps a lot of its new inventions secret. One of the strangest secrets is a material called Fogbank.
What in the world is Fogbank?
Fogbank is believed to be a special material that turns into super-hot plasma when a bomb goes off. This helps a nuclear warhead work properly. It was first made in Tennessee between 1975 and 1989. When the military needed more Fogbank, they had to spend a lot of time and money to learn how to make it again.
Secret planes and “UFOs”
The military also has other secrets, like special planes and space technology. Sometimes people think they see UFOs, but many of these sightings are actually secret military projects.
