Costa Rica is full of amazing animals! You can find:

Howler monkeys:

You can hear the howler monkeys early in the morning; their loud calls can travel a long way!

Quetzals:

The quetzal bird, with its bright green feathers, is another creature that lives in the forests.

Jaguars:

Look out for jaguars on the beach; they like to leave tracks in the sand.

Poison dart frogs:

Have you ever seen a tiny frog that’s bright red or blue? That’s the poison dart frog!

Sea turtles:

You might also see a sea turtle swimming in the ocean.

Sloths:

Finally, don’t forget to look up in the trees for sloths. These slow creatures spend most of their time hanging from branches, moving very slowly!
